Playhouse Stage Co’s 36th Summer Season features productions of The Marvelous Wonderettes & Legally Blonde and special youth event Finding Nemo JR. Our collaborative, friendly, team-based environment is a great place to create theatrical work you can be proud of. All positions are paid and housing is available for out-of-town artists & technicians.

We are currently hiring for the following positions:

  • Technical Director - The Technical Director (TD) is responsible for the direct leadership of the scenic, paint and properties departments for all shows produced during the summer season, and helps to coordinate details for other departments as well. The TD in coordination with Production Management will oversee and execute the load-in, production and strike schedules. This position is a hands-on position that requires both excellent carpentry and theatrical production skills and strong leadership capabilities.

  • Stage Management - Seeking both Production and Assistant Stage Managers for all productions in the upcoming summer season. The ideal candidate will have experience stage managing both professional and youth-performed productions.

  • Properties Designer & Master - The Properties Designer is responsible for the direct leadership of the properties departments for all shows produced during the summer season, and helps to assist other departments where available as well. This position is a hands-on position that requires both excellent fabrication and procurement skills and strong organizational and inter-personal skills.

  • Scenic Charge Artist - The Scenic Charge is responsible for the direct leadership of the paint department for all shows produced during the summer season, and helps to assist other departments where available as well. This position is a hands-on position that requires significant experience in scenic artistry.

  • Wardrobe Staff - seeking experienced and developing stitchers/cutters/drapers for assistance with show build, running performances and general wardrobe maintenance.
